Welcome to Once Upon a Memory (“we,” “our,” “us”). Our website and AI application ("app") are operated by Once Upon a Memory Books LLC. By using our website, services, or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Overview

Once Upon a Memory provides an online platform where users can create personalized, AI-generated children’s storybooks using uploaded photos, text, and other content.

These Terms apply to:

  • The use of our website and online services.

  • The creation, purchase, and delivery of our printed and digital books.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. If you create a book featuring children, you must be their parent, guardian, or have permission from their parent/guardian.

3. Your Content

When you upload photos, names, or stories, you:

  • Retain ownership of your content.

  • Grant us a license to use, modify, and reproduce your content solely for the purpose of creating, printing, and delivering your book.

  • Confirm that your content does not infringe on any third-party rights.

We do not publicly share your content without your permission.

4. AI Story & Illustration Generation

  • All stories and images are generated using AI technology based on your inputs.

  • AI outputs may vary in style, detail, and accuracy — we cannot guarantee exact likenesses or outcomes.

  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving your story and illustrations before ordering.

  • AI-generated content may be refined with our editing tools prior to printing.

5. Ordering & Payment

  • Free Trial: You may create the first page of your book before payment is required.

  • Pricing: Displayed on our website at checkout.

  • Payment Processing: All payments are securely handled by Stripe.

  • Orders are processed once payment is confirmed.

6. Shipping & Delivery

  • Books typically ship within 6–7 business days after final approval.

  • International delivery is available with regular, expedited, express, and overnight options.

  • Delivery times may vary due to customs, weather, or carrier delays.

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

7. Cancellations & Changes

Once a book has been approved for printing, we cannot guarantee changes or cancellations. Please review your book carefully before final approval.

8. Refund Policy

Because each book is custom-made, we do not offer refunds except in cases of manufacturing defects or delivery errors. In such cases, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue for a replacement.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload or submit:

  • Content that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or infringing.

  • Images of individuals without permission.

  • Any material harmful to minors.

We reserve the right to refuse service if these terms are violated.

10. Intellectual Property

All non-user content on our site — including templates, tools, and branding — is owned by Once Upon a Memory and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for:

  • AI-generated content outcomes.

  • Delays outside our control.

  • Losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with the “Effective Date” updated. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the new Terms.
